Hi there, I've finished my Bsc degree main stream IT management at UNISA at the end of last year. I would like to further my studies at UNISA next year. Would the next step be a Hons (I know at some universities like CPUT you can go from the BSC and do your Masters) The, does anyone have any experience with CSIR? Thanksby fran13 - Postgraduates
I must agree with the complaints above. what next? Does the lecturers follow these discussions? Can we have some feedback from them?by fran13 - INF320E
Wasn't 1.2 the question on user frustration... (reasons,what provokes it, and dealing with frustration)by fran13 - INF320E
Hey all! Glad I'm not the only one that struggled! I must agree about the not studying chapter 9. (10 marks) And then the question about 1.3. wtf was that all about? 10 marks! It really feels like the lecturers wanted to catch us out, instead of testing our knowledge of the subject... They only concentrated on a very small amount of work covered through a YEAR and not including some ofby fran13 - INF320E

Question 3 in the January examination paper. I'm a bit lost, don't understand quite what they want... Anyone with some guidelines please.by fran13 - INF320E
Maybe a question on usability testing and field studies - this is named explicitly under 'Evaluation of interactive systems' in tut102...by fran13 - INF320E
So maybe something like assignment 2,question 2? (but the whole question counts 60 marks, so only part of it)by fran13 - INF320E
What do you guys think of section 5.8 - Models of affective aspects?? important? do you understand it?by fran13 - INF320E
I do agree with cornellvdw on the content layout. I just don't know what to make of the last point: Evaluation of interactive systems... seems to cover quite a lot of work! I really do think that one of the longer question (10-15 marks) will be on the DECIDE framework. What do you guys think?by fran13 - INF320E
Hey, Is it just me or are the question in assignment 2 much easier than the question in tut102 ?by fran13 - INF307H
Maybe you guys can clear this up for me: According to tut 102: SECTION B Oracle code: SQL & SQL *Plus (70) Chapters 1 – 6 SECTION C PL/SQL (20) Chapters 7, 8 But isn't PL/SQL chapter/Lesson 6 and 7 (instead of 7,8) Chapter 8 is exception handling... What does this mean? That we can leave out 8,9,10?by fran13 - INF307H
The paper wasn't too bad. Except for the last 10 marks - drawing of the diagram. stupid question. I wrote down all the attributes... silly me didn't read the whole question before starting!Luckily I still finished with 15 mins to spare.by fran13 - INF303D
Hey all, I've just noticed the inf303 paper is still 100 marks - 2 hour according to tut102. All the other were cut to 70 or 80??by fran13 - INF303D
In assignment 3 question 4. How are we suppose to know to draw a graph for week 1 and week 4. why not week2 and 4?by fran13 - INF308J
Yes, but there were more than 20 % theory. Question 1(10) Question 4 (11) Question 6 (8) 29 out of the 70 marks - 38%by fran13 - COS3216
Hey, Want to practice activity on node diagrams? Found this excellent site : http://www.btinternet.com/~uyea/jaon.html check it out. It has an interactive "drawing board" and marks your answer!by fran13 - INF308J
The sums were ok, but the theory... They had me on question 4 and 6. The theory did differ from those in the assignments, and accounted for 29 out of the 70 marks - 38%. Which is way more than what they specified in tut102... Now I have to study inf308 for tomorrow.by fran13 - COS3216
I really do think that we only have to concentrate on tut102 and the practical questions in assignment 1 and 2...by fran13 - COS3216
I had a look in the archives of osprey. It looks like they concentrate mostly on the contents of the tuts in the previous papers. - so that's what I'm going to concentrate on...by fran13 - INF308J
I must agree with Reanie about the "sums"! I'm going to concentrate more on the calculations etc that they've asked in the tutorials...by fran13 - COS3216
I went completely blank on the 8 guidelines for quality design...by fran13 - INF305F
I also think that it was a fair paper. But I must agree with pruthven on the mark allocations... 1 down 6 to go.by fran13 - INF305F
Hey all. Here's the response I got from the lecturers: Dear Student I hope this helps: Chapter 5: Software Engineering Practice Note that: Practice is a collection of concepts, principles, methods and tools that a software engineer calls upon on daily basis. This is the book definition (Page 129) The word is defined as “an important underlying law or assumption reqby fran13 - INF305F
