Hi I know there are videos on Youtube uploaded by CoderIsland that are useful to this subject. Can somebody tell me which ones they are? Thanksby TraceyB - COS301Y
Thanks, I'm getting there. I'd forgotten to check Run in terminal. But now when I run it from Qt Creator, I get a dos window opening but all it says is "Press <RETURN> to close this window" and when I run it from command prompt, it waits a couple of seconds and then I get the prompt again. I'm trying to run exercise 1.4.1.1 where I should be prompted to supply inpby TraceyB - COS2144
I created the test program that is given on the CD and it ran perfectly. Now when I create new projects and copy code from the textbook I always get a 'exited with code 0' message and I don't see the output of the program. Here is an example: Starting C:\unisa\cos2614\ezust\Exerc1411-build-desktop\debug\Exerc1411.exe... C:\unisa\cos2614\ezust\Exerc1411-build-desktop\debuby TraceyB - COS2144
Has anyone had their results back for assignment 1?by TraceyB - COS201V
Thanks for replying. The guide has ... yn ... y1 ... and mine has ... ynyn-1...y1 ... can you leave out yn-1 and it means the same thing?by TraceyB - COS201V
Looking at the answer in the study guide, I don't see how reverse(y1 y2...yn y1 y2...yn y1 y2...yn ) would equal ynyn-1...y1 yn ... y1 yn ... y1 I understand that reverse(y1 y2...yn) equals ynyn-1...y1 but then shouldn't the entire reverse statement equal ynyn-1...y1 ynyn-1...y1 ynyn-1...y1 ?by TraceyB - COS201V
Did anybody else get a blank CD?by TraceyB - COS2144

Congratulations to everyone who passed and especially to those who now have their degree. I'm sorry Wiseguy and to any others who didn't pass, all the best for the supp. I got 52.5% for the exam, 50% for the year mark - strange how those who didn't like the paper passed well and I enjoyed it and only just passed. The main thing is that I passed though!!by TraceyB - INF320E
I phoned an INF320 lecturer to find out when the exam results would be available and the lecturers have finished marking the papers and they are with the head of department. The marks may be out tonight but if not, and if they don't work on Saturdays which he thinks they don't, then its Monday.by TraceyB - INF320E
The marks are finally out. I got 60% for my final mark, my exam mark was 62% but my assignments brought it down. I'm still pleased with it. How did everybody else do?by TraceyB - INF303D
I said broad for both, I first said narrow but then decided on broad. The more I read the question, the more unsure I got.by TraceyB - INF320E
what did you answer for the broad or narrow question?by TraceyB - INF320E
Yup, that was me, I didn't know I was being watched! *blushes* I wasn't agitated, just trying to remember what I wrote. I liked the last question - prototyping, I wrote a full A4 page, I hope it was worth 15 marks.by TraceyB - INF320E
I seem to be the only one who liked the paper. Before I get shot down, the only reason I liked it is was because the questions were mostly based on stuff that I knew so I'm quietly confident for a pass which is the only reason I liked the paper. I agree that they should have included more important topics and that heuristics question was terrible, I left it out too, what chapter was it evenby TraceyB - INF320E
thanks, I have your notes in front of me but the stuff is just not going and staying in my headby TraceyB - INF320E
So is mine, I'm struggling to remember what determine means in the Decide framework. I've leaving out about 3 chapters and hoping I can cram the stuff I have gone over and remember enough of it to pass.by TraceyB - INF320E
I don't have my textbook with me but Chapter 5 has information about affective aspects used in interface agents and interactive physical toys which may help.by TraceyB - INF320E
and the comments on the assignments in 501. Happy Studyingby TraceyB - INF320E
I suggest reading through the questions and answers that are the in the textbook, the lecturers may have got lazy and used some of them in the exam.by TraceyB - INF320E
only on chapter 11, getting a bit stressed but looking at the Jan paper, it doesn't look that hard. Its out of 80 so 40 is pass but I'm hoping for more. I'm working today too so have to study like mad tonight.by TraceyB - INF320E
No, you don't, just click on the link then scroll right down to the bottom of the screen and you'll see a link to click on to download them.by TraceyB - INF320E
How's everybody doing? I've got to chapter 9, trying to do my own summaries then gave up and am using Malberts's summary for the rest of the book. Panic is starting to settle in.by TraceyB - INF320E
Thanks so much! You don't know what a lifesaver you are! Anybody started panicking yet?by TraceyB - INF320E
One of the outcomes in the study guide related to that is: "describe the affective aspects used in interface agents and interactive physical toys" so I'd say its fairly important. Apart from what we're told in the study guide and exam tut letter, we don't know what's going to be in the exam.by TraceyB - INF320E
