Good luck guys for the upcoming semester!by bron1 - COS351D
I wrote the supp in Feb, and thought I had completely failed it....and was very happy when I got my results to find I had got 62%....was super stoked as this was my last subject! And I finally actually passed a supplementary! @JoJenkinson - are you redoing AI this semester? How did you write the supp and register for the subject at the same time? @Tazz - have mailed through last year'sby bron1 - COS351D
Well good luck anyway! Maybe luck will be on our side and it will be a nice paper...we can hope cant weby bron1 - COS351D
@Scag - I am so with you on that! I'm hoping like hell it is very similar to the example paper....I am really worried though as that doesn't cover a lot of the theory...and there is so much dam theory, where do you even start! *sigh*by bron1 - COS351D
i have 2008 and prior, could someone send me 2009 pleaseby bron1 - COS351D
I don't even know where to begin with this subject....by bron1 - COS351D
Ya, I would have preferred 9 marks on singleton I think it went ok...just want enough to pass this one. 1 down, 2 to go till degree is in the bagby bron1 - COS3114
I'm nervous because of the number of students in previous years that have failed this module....but using other resources has been helpful so I feel like I know the work....I suppose now it just depends on the paper! I'm really hoping I just pass it so I can be done with UNISA this year... Good luck everybody!by bron1 - COS3114
I haven't got mine back yet either...by bron1 - COS351D
Does anyone have TUT's from previous years?by bron1 - COS351D
Subject: Prove of "active student". From: MRS P LE ROUX Date: 2010/05/03 10:51 am Message: The official cut-off date for proof that you are an active student is 7 May 2010. This means that you must submit at least one assignment before this date to gain admission to the October/November exam. Please note that this cut-off date is implemented by the examination section of Uby bron1 - COS3114
Yeah I saw it on Adams - but overseas its like R200 cheaper! Anyway, I managed to get it at Van Schaik for R445 Thanks anywayby bron1 - COS351D
OK so I tried to order the 2nd edition - apparently they are out of print. I assume the 3rd edition would be ok then?by bron1 - COS351D
To be honest, I also thought I would've got higher. Actually, all my results were the complete opposite to what I thought I would get.by bron1 - COS211X
Yay COS211 in the bag, thought I got a higher mark but I'll take 61% with a smileby bron1 - COS211X
63%...so happy this one is over...and now we still wait for COS211...by bron1 - INF320E
Grrr....I so thought I had this one! Got a supp instead...I think its the curse of the Computer Theory!by bron1 - COS301Y
Yip, I have received a mark back for an exam I wrote a week after this, so I definitely thought we would have this mark back by now! I have OCD with checking for the results!by bron1 - COS301Y
I really struggled with COS101 and COS201, but hopefully nailed this one this year. I think with this subject in particular, you have to practice, practice, practice. Its the only way it sinks in... Agree with Reanie on the continuation part...and the bonus is you dont have to buy another textbook because it uses the same as COS201. Happy decision making!by bron1 - COS301Y
I am so with you on that one Wiseguy...its a dam prereq for so many modules!by bron1 - COS211X
I had to buy the new textbook. I registered for this subject 2 years ago, but then cancelled before the year began because I took on too many subjects. Without even realizing the textbook had changed, I re-registered for the subject this year. Only when I got to assignment 3 and the chapter headings weren't matching up did it come up that I still had the first edition! So I had to spend R700by bron1 - INF320E
A nice exam! Was also surprised about the minimal amount of recursion. And what a pity I didnt finish on this one, I wrote INF320 today! But at least its all over. Good luck to all the Java students writing tomorrowby bron1 - COS211X
After writing a great COS211 paper yesterday and procrastinated the rest of the day instead of studying for this one, I was nervous going into the exam...and dont really know how I did - I know I didnt stop writing for an hour and a half...my wrist still hurts! Just hope what I wrote is what the lecturers want...as for the heuristics...thumb suck of note! I dont think this is the first time thisby bron1 - INF320E
@Kyle - I have emailed them through, let me know if you don't receive themby bron1 - COS211X
Ive summarized up to ch 12...still have to summarize the rest and then learn everything....plus I have to finish everything for COS211 which is on monday!\ If its the theory covered in the assignments then its: Ass 1: Unit 1 - 2 Ass 2: Units 4 - 7 Ass 3: Units 9 - 15 Still a lot of pages!by bron1 - INF320E
@Leila - I have Tut 101 and the Exam tut from 2008 if you want it?by bron1 - COS211X
Thanks Amy Those chapters sound about what I had on my list as first priority too.by bron1 - INF320E
