Well it does say in tut 101 that you'll get full marks for each question with a "reasonable attempt", so I'd be disappointing with anything but.

Hi Celene
That is the product over symbol. Works the same as the sum over, just uses multiplication in place of addition. It is used to calculate the Cartesian product.
Hope that helps.
Personally; I'm really stressing about this exam .

Is anyone else still waiting for their assignment 3 results? I'm waiting on the result to see if I make exam admission, only need 10 more credits, but hey. I'm beginning to wonder if it will be marked before the exam.

I got my marked assignment 2 back yesterday, and was happy and surprised to see that the lecturer had taken the time to write some useful comments on my answers. Now just waiting for assignment 3.

The ridiculous price is what I am trying to avoid . There were a few books that I almost brought from Kalahari and stupid prices but luckily I found them at a local book seller after a LOT of searching, I ended up saving about R500 - R 600 a book and in some cases more(no exaggeration). So now I just have this one last book left, but there is no way I am paying over R800 for it. I just don'

Yeah, I registered before(or before I found out) they changed the prescribed material for this module. I'm just worried about ordering the book from overseas since by the time it gets here, I won't have too much time to do the first assignment. Now that the assignments count towards your year mark, I want to spend more time than usual on them.

Has anyone been able to find the text book for this module at a non-ridiculous price? If so can you perhaps let we know where you found it, because non of the official UNISA book sellers in Durban have stock and most have never heard of it.

Apparently cos161 has been dropped this year, I also wanted to sell some of my old textbooks, oh well.

I haven't received anything yet, I phoned today and was told to fax through a letter requesting the info, just have to wait to see if that gets me anywhere.

Still waiting too. I am now starting to get worried, since the first assignments are just over a month away and they now count towards the end of year results, so you don't want have to rush them. I mean come on UNISA, we are almost 25% into this year, and still waiting for registration confirmation, that really isn't justifiable.

I just want to know what would have happened if I had tried to register at another university, their registrations are now closed and I still haven't gotten my degree confirmation. Originally Unisa didn't realise that I had done my degree with them and they told me there was no way I could register for honors with them this year. So if you did your degree at any other university and the

When you say late do you mean after the registration closing date?
Considering I was told not to register online about a week before registration closed because my application might not have gotten approved on time, I think you might be chancing it. But it's worth a try.

If you have set up your directories correctly your compiler should be defualt.
I haven't used dev-c++ in a while so I just set it up and works fine, my directories settings are:
Binaries:
"C:\unisa\mingw\bin"
Libraries:
"C:\unisa\mingw\lib"
C Includes:
"C:\unisa\mingw\include"
C++ Includes:
empty
and no other directories have been included for anyt

The software engineering stream also allows you to do more than 15 cos modules, 5 on first level(compulsory), 6 on second level(compulsory to do 6) and you can do 5 on third level. Making 16. That is what I did, and a lecturer helped me plan my whole degree. Well cos340 can count towards an INF major, so I don't know if that makes a difference. But yeah I was told to ignore that 15 modules p

Yeah I'm one of those people that are still waiting for my degree to be audited. The worst part is that I have registered for honors, but my registration won't be approved until my they have finished auditing my degree. I hope it doesn't take much longer, I need to start studying soon.

That 15 modules per subject only applies if you are compiling your own degree, if you are doing one of the specialized stream you can do as many of one subject as the steam allows. I checked this with the registration department when i did the Software engineering stream, by the end of my last year I had done 17 COS modules. I remember that I had to do more than 15 COS ones to get both INF and C

Just checking, is this your first honors registration? Because if it is registration closed on the 8th. Last week I was told by more than one person at the school of computing not to register online for honors because my application wouldn't be approved in time. If you had to wait for honor supp exam results I think you have until somewhere round the 8th of April to register. I hope you mana

rklopper, I was talking about the first, second and third level modules, have no experience of postgrad INF yet, UNISA are taking their sweet time to approve my application, but I'm only doing two INF modules for my honors anyway.

And another thing... This is really going to mess up the standard difficulty for the different modules. Some modules (mostly the inf ones I know have) have insultingly easy mcq's assignments that a well trained monkey could do, whilst the cos assignments that I done in the past require a lot of effort and understanding (like a university assignment should). I have always been fine with this

I'm not to sure about this one...
I definitely agree with the idea of the exam not counting 100% of your year mark, that idea has always bugged me, especially for the more practical modules. I mean what happens if you get a crap exam or make a silly mistake that servilely costs you. And now we can at least get some marks for programs that are not written in pencil.
But I don't think

Hey
Did you install your dev-C++ to the default directory with its installation? i.e "C:\unisa\devcpp".
A "2(some path)\2 unable to run program file" error will occur if Dev-c++, can't find one of the programs needed for compiling your project, usually it is make, gcc or g++.
Go to Tools - Compiler Options - Programs and check that each .exe that is linked is fo
