I would say it is to the strategy pattern, in deciding when to use integers or doubles in additions.by andrevh - COS3114

When I add a LOT huge numbers (no fractions involved) togteher I get the following results: using a double variable: 284088798832 using a __int64 variable: 284088798837 When I only add the least significant digits together I get: 109137 with both variables. It seems the __int64 is the accurate counter, but why the difference?by andrevh - COS3114

Andre Do not click on the link. Go to www,gmail.com and enter then email address as your usercode. And goodluck as your password. Not that the goodluck help in the SUP Examine. It was difficult and they cheated. They asked on QProcess and QRegExpvalidtors that we were not suppose to learn.by andrevh - COS3114
Load shedding by escom http://www.eskom.co.za/live/loadshed.php?Item_ID=5523 http://www.tshwane.gov.za/interruptions.cfm According to http://www.tshwane.gov.za/documents/loadshedding/group_4.pdf it looks as if Pretoria examine centre might need a torch or 2. These are SOME of the areas that will be affected during the exam, so take a torch with you if you are writing there.by andrevh - COS3114

Know your regular expressions well. Know how to write an abstract factory (Was part of my downfall) Here is an example that makes sense: http://sourcemaking.com/design_patterns/abstract_factory/c++/1 Know when to use which patterns and how to group them , in behaviour, structural and creational. Know each chapter well enough because there is basically a question on every topic.by andrevh - COS3114
So who is joining me for this supplementary examine on the 14th of January. I tried to request a remark and tried to phone , but did not get any response. It seems all the lecturers are on holiday.by andrevh - COS3114
Niri Will you please email to me as well. Thanks Andreby andrevh - COS3114
47 My strategy pattern should have been a singleton and my factory a composite. I guess it will be a supplementary examine, else I think must will have to take COS101. At least I passsed the other 3 I did.by andrevh - COS3114

Our company wanted to let its employees do the Microsoft's MSDE (Microsoft's Certified Developers) Course. When we got the books, after NOT a lot of research, we found it has been changed. I think threads, especialy with incoming tcp sockets, makes code much easier to write and maintain. I do not think speed is always the issue, but rather readable and maintainable, else we need to go back to assembler for pure speed. When writing games, it seems that threads is a must, although I am sure you can do it in a single thread that will be very complicated to follow? http://by andrevh - COS3114
So Goose Am I correct if I say that you prefer single threaded processes but a lot of processes?by andrevh - COS3114

COS321 is a lot of theory and a lot to learn. Thats about it. COS311 was hard but when you understand it, it is not that bad. Both is hard work. My suggestion, take both if you can afford it.by andrevh - COS3216
