It seems that unisa students in general have issues with reading instructionsby Kilhra - Jobs & Opportunities
I'm sure there are students that don't hand in assignments due to time constraints etc, but I was actually referring to the group work - assignment 4 is the one where we did the wiki thing, right? I'm assuming that that is included in the mark or do we not get marks for the group work? I know they say that we get marks for the group work, but how does it work?by Kilhra - INF425N
That is only for what we hand in though. But it is cool that we can view it thereby Kilhra - INF425N
It would be nice to see how they score the online participation though, but yea having such a big year mark is kinda coolby Kilhra - INF425N
If you look at the questions though... 3 "what was the problem" 5 "how did they tackle the problem" 6 "how did they implement a solution" 7 "what was the result" you can't just go and take any article - I had one that was about requirements elicitation in opensource, they mostly just wrote about how it happens etc - which means that therby Kilhra - INF417N
The lecturers will be aware - there has been a notice about the planned downtime on myUnisa for a couple of weeks now. The notice said that we should submit assignments before the 17th, but my guess is that the lecturers will allow an extentionby Kilhra - INF460R
Question 4.1 asks us to provide the complete source of the article - is that just where we found it and where it was published and such?by Kilhra - INF417N
myUnisa will be down til tomorrow, it was on the front page news - they did say that the library should still be availableby Kilhra - INF417N
Since assignment 2 is due next and there is no assignment 4... This question is frustrating me now - most articles I've looked at just investigates some aspect of open source software, I haven't seen one yet that actually researches a problem within OSS On another note, 4.1 asks for the complete source of the article - I assume this is basically the reference? Where we got itby Kilhra - INF417N
The question asks about the guiding principles of Extreme Programming - I take it this means the principles defined for agile programming?by Kilhra - INF417N
Since the question says to search for and identify and article, I think it means we need to actually use one not mentioned.by Kilhra - INF417N
I doubt it, but I suppose it's not impossibleby Kilhra - INF460R
What did you do for question3.3? I'm not entirely sure what they are looking forby Kilhra - INF460R
I'm busy with question 2, not making fast progress unfortunatelyby Kilhra - INF460R
It was a relief to get it yes - would have been rather icky to start the results of the year with a 0by Kilhra - INF425N
I have exactly the same issue. As far as I understood from the assignment page, if our two summaries were in there we would get full marks. They added the bit about getting 0 for non pdf after they marked it, but I don't think that is too unfair as they did clearly state that they only accept pdf's I thought the lecturers got a printed version of the assignment to mark - if theby Kilhra - INF425N
It's not out yet, it will be available later this weekby Kilhra - INF425N
I was just wondering if it is indeed correct that we only study part of the article? The one available in the library ends rather abruptly, but it does go up to pg 11, which is where tut101 says it should end.by Kilhra - INF460R
Yea, I'm most probably getting married in october and was hoping to have all my assignments finished fairly early in the year, but now I'll have to carry this one through til about 2 weeks from the wedding. It just feels as if we can't really plan properly if we don't know when we will get the assignment - anyone else get this feeling or am I overreacting?by Kilhra - INF425N
I believe that for this first one as long as you hand it in you will get your marks. I found it difficult to summarise and ended up basically just giving an outline of the article and not going into any details. But I think it's probably a good way to start memorising the work for the examby Kilhra - INF425N
Yes, that is nice, it's only the "pacing" that is a problem for meby Kilhra - INF425N
Have you tried via the library?by Kilhra - INF425N
Well, if you take the time to read properly on myUnisa (like 101 suggest you do), you will find everything. It takes a bit of getting used to. It should be interesting to see how this new method works out, my only slight annoyance is the fact that they are trying to pace our studies for us - by the looks of it we will be getting our assignments about 3 weeks before they are due, which makesby Kilhra - INF425N
Hi Ivan There will be no tutorial letter sent with the assignment, It is available on myUnisa already and that is the only place it will ever be. Check under learning Unitsby Kilhra - INF425N

Does anyone know if we can use the 4th edition of the textbook for the module instead of the 5th?by Kilhra - INF425N
