Is the Look of Your Application Important?

Hi all

I've just coded the index.php page for my site. I decided to include a few pictures and write a stylesheet for a more than standard font. Just got me thinking, will the lecturer give any extra marks for the 'look' of your site or can it just be a bare basic log in, work, log out type of black and white site?

I think he answered this somewhere else...
I do not think marks are given for style and UI look,
but I have decided that to put in the little extra effort (its good practice, and a good refresher for what we did last year)
plus you could add this site to a portfolio... for you first job as Dev... not going to look great without a nice UI?

I mark your PHP code, not the looks. That does not mean you should not make an effort.... ! Just do the best you can, it is for yourself.
