easyPHP not running getting really Desperate!!

Hi, I only recieved my PHP: The complete reference text book last week, due to bad service from a certain book store(not going to mention names..). I now have alot of catching up to do as I'm falling really behind. I installed easyPHP and PSPad which was given to us on the CD from Unisa. My problem is this my easyPHP.exe isn't running it just says pending. Can somebody please help me to get the server running??

There can be a zillion reasons.... so you will have to Google on this one why it gives that error on your PC. In general terms it is a straight install.

Hi there

Yes disable it(take it off) otherwise its conflicting with Apache.Then restart your system.

Ok i got the Apache server online now but mySQL still won't run, it just says pending then stops. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate all the help i can get.

I used XAMPP. Works right after install. even has a nice control panel. smile

Uninstall, try XAMPP. If it works, forget about EasyPHP. It can take a long time to figure out reasons. It all depends on your PC setup, and there is no checklist.

I uninstalled easyPHP and installed XAMPP like you guys suggested and also disabled my IIS. Everything is working fine now. Thanks alot for everyones help i really appreciate it. Now i can get started with this subject.

I have used different versions and different os: XP, Win7. When I use one pc with win 7 it showed me the interface with green indication of is running but, when open explore:http://127.0.0.1/test.php, nothing is happing, either it says page not found.

On Exp, easyphp: pending, why please I request that idea bcos tomorrow I do so.

You are not only person that have had the problem with EasyPHP,

try unistalling easyPHP and installing XAMP
