text file in new window
July 19, 2012 09:13AM
Hi,

I have managed to get a new window to open on clicking the test file link. However it is completely blank. If I click view source, the code opens up in notepad and is clearly my test file. But the web browser renders the text file as a blank page.
Do you want only the PHP part of the code or the entire web page code in the text file?
If you click the text link, does the code need to be visible? I looked at the example of first semester's forum and saw that the php part of that example also did not display.

Thanks,
Kate

only php code. Yes, the code must be visible else it servers no purpose having the link.

If the code is parsed and not shown, just leave a space between the <?php as in <? php.

This has been addressed numerous times, also in last semester's forum.
