Participation marks
September 27, 2012 08:48AM
I have no evidence of contributions by the following people:

70856141
77700643
77704789
77712331
77728041

I have evidence of the following:

72934603
77695976
77517296
77726812
77679334
77779452
77694767
77698428
70859159
77686160
77671325
77683080
77716140
72945079
77266048
77677676
77685776
77740963
77582306
77700368
77698347
77674146
77718941
77688392
72423447
77695925
77726197

I consider the number of posts made, the depth thereof, and support to others. Top person gets 100%, then a sliding scale to lowest, who gets 1%. Last appears a bit too much for just one post, but anyway, it keeps you active.

This counts 10% towards your final mark

Oh goodness, the timing. We live in a semi-rural area and we've been without Internet for the past three weeks (it's thankfully sorted out now). I had just got back into it and was planning to be very active on the forums while doing my final portfolio, both asking for help from my fellow students and providing it where I can. Are these participation marks final now, or will they be revisited at the time of the final project?

I revisit end of the semester again, and re-work it in. Do not worry too much, it is only 10% of the final mark. The point really is to get you talking and sharing with one another, thereby learning more because there is much to learn and not all can be taught or addressed in this course smiling smiley

Thank you Mac! I must say it's great to have this forum as a collaborative resource, rather than those on the MyUnisa site that few people use in any of the courses.

smile I like the idea of this Course, it's been all talk and no action so far so> getting a good forum participation mark does not mean it's over, there is still the Portfolio that needs action!
Eg. a boxer who won a verbal battle with his opponent had an upperhand, but did not work hard enough for the actual fight and ended up losing the war from an uppercut. smile
