we are going to sit down for examination on the 14 of may because the lecturer is tired of students who submit the same copies of portfolio no more portfolio

Yes I would also like to know where you getting this information...according to the TUT letter and I qoute "There is thus no formal sit-down examination for this module, and you should ignore all correspondence from Unisa regarding examinations."

well guys we still gonna complete portfolio as stated in tutorial letter 101 it will be out of 70% or 50% and the exam it will be 30% or 50% based on chapter 7 and 8. for more info wait for tutorial letter 102

I think you have the wrong subject or you got your tuts confused.

Nothing about exams and I find it difficult be guilty of plagiarism.

What is the use of copying the stuff if you want to use the skills later?

Yeah, I also do not know what to make of this.
I find it surprising that if such a big change occurred, that there was no announcements/emails sent to all of the students.

I would really like to see Mac's input on this

It certainly was my intention to bring in an exam because of plagiarism. However, it cannot be done this semester anymore, and that was confirmed today. From 2nd semester portfolio + exams will return.

I think any plagiarism should be dealt with as would happen with a student if he/she was caught with notes in an exam centre.
