This is the directive i gave to my marker who marked your assignment.
3 marks if you go to the URL they provided in their email and a page with information is shown (i.e. there is an index.php page). Ignore what is on the page – does it open a index page with at least his name? If the page shows a file/directory listing or an error and you have to click on a directory/file to get to the assignment page, then they do not get a mark. Be patient –some free web hosting services are not as reliable as hosting companies, so do a couple of refreshes if the page does not come up immediately to ensure the problem is on the hosting side.
Ensure that a link to their code is present on the page, and that if clicked, it opens their code in a new window (use Firefox because IE may interpret the PHP code). This earns 3 marks.
The other 4 marks they is for the code, which is available on the link from the site. If the link is not there, check their email for the code. If no code no marks. As the tut letter states, it must show the date you view the page i.e. a dynamic date
Now, it was not his job to figure out your cryptic emails (or correct your spelling mistakes) and how you intended to include files and... and... and... You sent your URL, he clicks it, it opens a page with the output required, and with a link to your code. Some sites do not load first time because of a slow server, but such sites are revisit several times. This is your 3rd year, and although it is PHP is advanced PHP which neccessarily include HTML skills.
Even more frightening is that some of you clearly took code from last year and just copied it - you did not even bother to read the tut letter and notice that you had to include the timezone .... I have marked you for special attention with the portfolio, because you are the ones who plagiarize.
