SAP AG is one of the few multinational companies in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector that, as part of its global technology research strategy, has established a research capacity in South Africa. Our research focus includes the design and development of appropriate business software and services, as well as the enhancement of current SAP products and services, for use in Emerging Economies (EE). Research is inter- and multi-disciplinary and addresses not only topics related to technology, but also challenges related to people and business – such as technology acceptance, technical writing, economic impact of technology on communities and new business models for providing business services to customer in emerging economies.
