The preprepared questions
September 20, 2006 10:49AM
Can only of the lecturers explain about the preprepared questions as mentioned in tut letter 205 as follows:

Prepare answers for the pre-prepared questions from Chapters 11 and 12 as explained next.

IMPORTANT:
Chapter 11: There will be one short question for 3 marks on how to determine which design notation is better.
Chapter 12: There are two short questions for 3 and 4 marks respectively on (a) rules or principles that should be applied when building any user interface during UI design and (b) interface design issues that are present in the development of most user interfaces.

Will the preprepared questions for chapter 11 and 12 fall in question 1 or 2 of the exam paper as set in the exam tut letter and how much should we write for 3 and 4 points.
Can anyone clarify?

I would guess that they would fall under section 1 because section 2 is a case study whereas the first section is MCQ and short questions.

see the old exam paper for a guideline to mark allocation and how much you must write for 1 mark

When you say "We must preprepare the answers to these questions", does this mean we can pre-write the answers and bring them with us into the exam room, or that we have to memorise the answers so we can reproduce them in the exam ?

I doubt we'll be able to bring them in, probably just have to know exactly what we're going to write but clarification would be nice winking smiley

it is not an open book exam - you cannot bring any notes to the exam

I have not found the guideline on how much to write for 1 mark.

what I mean is look at the questions in the exam paper and the marks allocated - then you will have an idea on how much to write - for example list three characteristics for 3 marks - i.e. 1 mark foor each characteristic
