Waterfall Model differences
September 14, 2006 07:22PM
Hi
I would like to know why the stages in the waterfall model given in Pressman are different to the stages giving in the software project management module and also different to the waterfall model given on wikipedia. So in all there are 3 Waterfal models i have seen.
Pressman has Communication -> Planning -> Modeling -> Construction -> Deployment

Hughes and Cotterell has
Feasibility study -> User requirements ->Analysis -> System Design ->
Program design -> Coding -> Testing -> Operation

wikipedia has
requirements analysis -> design -> implementation -> testing -> integration -> maintenance

If you substitute 'a' for 'the' in 'the waterfall model ' then you have your answer - there are many of them...
