Are we still meant to believe the 1 GB = 1000 MB??

Assignment 3 Question 9.

Surely at this stage in our studies we are expected to know that bytes, kb, MB, and GBs are not incremented by 1000 but rather 1024?

The answer to Question 9 is 32GB not 34.4GB

4,194,304 * 8192 = 34,359,738,368 bytes
= 33,554,432 kb
= 32,768 MB
= 32 GB

Or are we still to assume (like people who dont use computers) that we divide by 1000?

Just want to know so that when I write the exam I know which logic to use, 3rd Level Module Logic or Computers 101 logic?

Just to let everyone know, that I have been informed that in the exam 1024 shall be used.
