Hi Guys. Hope you are all doing well. This is my first hurdle with the text book.
On page 30 they explain this concept and says you must stop when the fractional part is 0 or there is enough bits.
My question is how do you know when you have enough bits. Some fractions goes on forever, like the one I tried arbitrarily(0.36).
When I do it with my binary calculator it stops at 6 digits. But when you multiply it out the way the teach you in the text book, it
goes on forever. I have read this section again and they don't exactly say where you must stop.
Do you guys have any idea. Maybe I missed something
