Hi, fellow e-entrepreneurs!

Here is an interesting read: Paypal is coming to South Africa.

There is a lot of truth in this. it was confirmed to me personally by a very reliable source within FNB...

Hi,

Before we all get too excited about Paypal coming to South Africa, there are a lot of interesting reads about Paypal e.g : did you know that more than 50% of Phishing attacks were directed to Paypal?: Just like the example given in the book...

Hi, there fellow e-entrepreneurs!

The doors were officially opened today! I listened to an interview on Radio 702's World at 6 this afternoon where I heard the confirmation from FNB's Michael Jordaan (CEO).

This was also confirmed when I saw this article and that article...

The podcast of the interview is found here. I downloaded it, but sorry I am not willing to even try to e-mail 13MB to anyone... Hence the linksmile

Why go marching to Pretoria when you can march through the open door?

Cheers!

How much trade do you think will happen through this deal?

Paypal does not include the Rand yet, but the future is bright. There is also a possibility of using ebucks...

With the increase in mobile internet, the possibilities are endless... Access to 190 countries...we now have the possibility of accepting international currency etc...

Despite the security threats, I personally think it is a very good deal to stimulate the South African economy, especially the "smaller" guys. You don't need a merchant account anymore etc...
