Hey,

I went internet!

But I am seriously unsatisfied with the service of MasterSkill. It has been two weeks since my order was placed and paid, and after successfully sending proof of payment faxes to various fax numbers, my order still says "Awaiting payment confirmation".

It’s ridiculous!

Did you mail lungi @ masterskill dot co dot za
Apparently he and another lady deals with the orders. Ask him to check what's going on with your order.
His tel no is 011 386 6932
Took about three days for my textbook to get here.

BTW. the version of Oracle on the CD does not work on Vista!

Thank Cobus,

I did phone them on Monday afternoon again and the problem was sorted out. I am happy to say that I have just recieved my book and software and will start playing around soon.

I use virtuall machines for my Unisa stuff which makes it easy to work with any software environment I might need.

Glad to help.

Oracle does seem to be pretty rough on resources but I managed to switch of some of the services to get my (company issue) laptop to behave again.

If you want something a bit more friendly than iSQL, try SQL developer from the oracle website. Being an MS developer, I love anything that looks like intellisense.

Thanks for the SQL developer tip. I hate SQLPLUS. I'm busy downloading now. I know there is another product called Toad but you have to buy a license.

I ordered by fax. I got my book within 2 days after I faxed.
