Problem with assignment 2 Q 9

Hi there. I'm having trouble with assignment 2 question 9.

The question is: Develop a statechart diagram for the applicant class of the employment agency system - but I can't find any info on "statechart diagrams" in the prescribed textbook. If I'm blind or just stupid, please give me the page number where statechart diagrams are discussed.

I've looked up some online tutorials that explain statechart diagrams but it is still bothering me - what else would they expect us to know that isn't covered in the textbook? (If I am right and it is in fact not in the textbook)

Another note - according to tutorial letter 101, there exists a tutorial letter 501, only available for download - I don't know what it contains, but I can't find it on myUnisa or Osprey.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

I did all the questions for this assignment yesterday and was also in the dark concerning statechart diagrams...
They are definitely not in the textbook. Then how does one attempt this question?
@oertel - did you manage to find out what we should do for this question? Have you contacted the lecturer?

Whats the difference between a state chart and a state machine diagram?

Nothing I hope. I drew more or less a state chart diagram. I looked it up on the internet and they pretty much look the same.

By the way, I downloaded some nice software called ConceptDraw Office Pro. It's rather nice for drawing all these diagrams. It gives you a 30 day free trial which is way long enough to do both assignments for INF206 and INF207. It's shareware and I'd like to buy it because it so nice, but I don't know if I'll use it again after these courses and it's about $250.
