Textbook vs Ebook comparison
December 14, 2009 11:13AM
Hi there

I'm taking this module next year and was wondering if anyone knew how the textbook compares to the ebook version. Can I get by without buying the textbook and just use the online one?

Link to online textbook

Thanks smiling smiley

Don't think you should use the online version. There is an ebook available for download which is the complete copy of the textbook.

The online version looks a bit incomplete. The ebook is an exact copy

The online version is different (maybe earlier edition). I used the ebook and managed to pass (barely).

A link for for the e-book?

Anyone have the textbook for sale?

Maybe you want to swap? I have (INF305, 307(the new one ), 308, 320)?

I don't see the exercises in the online version. Most of the assignments refer to the exercises.

I am also taking this module next year while it is still a year module.

Do you think they will allow for the use of Qt Creator in place of Qt IDE? Qt Creator is a so much better IDE.

They don't care how you code it, as long as it compiles on their Unisa supplied version. I used QtCreator with the latest Qt version and checked the compilation against a unisa install on another partition. It worked perfectly without me having to tweak anything.
