I only got 86 credits for the three assignments, so assumed that I would not be able to write the exam. However I just got the exam timetable indicating that I have been admitted to the exam. Is this normal? Is anyone else in the same position? My worry is if the exam timetable was prepared and sent before the final marks were submitted, that in fact I will not be able to write. Any info will be appreciated (before I sacrifice yet more brain cells in the pursuit of knowledge).
You'll better start to prepare - my marks are also very low & I'm also allowed to write exam. Think the criteria is just that you handed in the first assignment, not your year marks.
The rule that states you need 100 credits to get exam admission no longer applies.
This is from COS311-4's Tutorial 101:
Quote
Due to regulatory requirements (imposed by the Department of National Education) a student
must submit at least one assignment BEFORE 1st of May 2009 to be admitted to the exam.
both cases are true with me, last year I was admitted to exams in modules I got less than 100 marks, in the meanwhile this year this rule no longer applies. it is just the case that those marks you got will form 10% of your final mark.
