Howzit all, does anybody else find the boolean algebra difficult to understand? I just don't get it... I am sure I am missing the point some where. The weird thing is I fully get the logic gates.

So what is the trick to understanding the math?

Cheers

For me the trick is just to look at it like normal algebra factorization with some extra rules here and there. Like that you can factorize x+(xy) type stuff aswell.

Adults are always asking little kids what they want to be when they grow up because they are trying to get ideas.

Should we realy know all the rules?
I did not even remember all the maths rules at school - If they just explain ratioinal, maybe it would make more sense. Or if they give some more practice questions it can sink in. But this just here it is apply it - over the head and there it flies away - no clue!

0 + 0 = 00
0 + 1 = 01
1 + 0 = 01
1 + 1 = 10

Practical experience showed me now that 1 and 1 is 3...

You have to know the rules but need not name a rule when you apply it. In TLs 102 and 103 detail explanations are given in examples.
