What is an ADT

Question 5 of assignment 2 asks to rewrite the class of the previous questions as "an ADT with separate compilation".
I always define my header files separately anyway so I assume thats done.
If theyre asking me to make the class abstract, i.e. make all functions pure virtual and subclass it, I don't see the point of that at all.

So am I done? Can I just submit the same thing from q4 with its separate header, implementation and test function files?

Seperate/hide implementation from header/prototype ..but this is what you've done already .. so i guess you got it all figured out.

An abstract data type is what they call user-defined types now. The base types are int, float, char, etc, etc, etc. When you start combining these together to represent a much larger concept, that's when it becomes an abstraction of something from the real world.

The type you usually create is a class although it could be something else.
