Hi Mac,

According to the 1st tutorial letter, the written examination is an open book exam. Is this correct, and does it literally mean that we can use the prescribed book while writing the exam?

Will the style of the exam be more or less the same as the assignments that we have done, i.e. short true/false questions, missing word questions and essay style questions? I ask this simply for preparation style purposes.

Open book it is. Which implies that we will not ask questions that you can just copy out of the book...! Mostly essay type questions with a focus on applying what you know (or read in the book).
