Displaying photographs

This seems to be a common problem, but my perfectly viewable photos do not appear on my web page once it is uploaded; no problem with the background!

I have checked the spelling / text case and have not resolved the issue. Advice please?

It is the usual problem - upper and lowercase filenames - please only use lowercase filenames

In your ftp folder you have steve.JPG, wet.JPG but you use

<img src="steve.jpg" height="195" width="150" alt="This is Steve">
<img src="wet.jpg" height="195" width="253" alt="Me and my kids">

change it tyo

<img src="steve.JPG" height="195" width="150" alt="This is Steve">
<img src="wet.JPG" height="195" width="253" alt="Me and my kids">

I've checked my page in firefox and it displays fine, however IE doesn't show my photograph.

What could the problem be?

because you used
<img src="graphics/dyazbek.jpg" alt="Saaleha Bamjee-Mayet" height="" width="">
include the actual picture dimensions otherwise IE resizes it to 0

MY BACKGROUND COLOR SHOWS JUST FINE, BUT MY PICTURES DONT SHOW.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE?
