Trends

• Increase of people using the internet to educated themselves in terms of certificates, diplomas etc.
• Bidding on the internet will increase as well as on-line shopping
• Increase in on-line gaming
• Internet will be use as a powerful tool for politics
• The internet is increasing becoming a social thing as well as a trend e.g. Face book

In my opinion other than the trends already mentioned I see the emergence of:

Use of Flash in Sites: Animation, moving logos etc
Use of advertising for musicians: MySpace
Free source encyclopedias: Wikipedia
Editable entries on encyclopedias: Wikipedia, Wiktionary, wikiquotes

I agree with the above. I also think the following trends may emerge:

• A greater user accessibility of the internet through the development of mobile devises by which users can access the internet at any time, any place.
• An increase of virtual communities by which members can communicate and share photos, video and audio.
• The use of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) being integrated into web sites.
• More online study programs by which students can further their education directly on the internet and have discussions with fellow students through a conference call approach.
