Domain registration services:

1) www.co.za
2) www.africaregistry.com
3) www.innter.net
4) www.serv.co.za

R50 to register a domain name and thereafter a yearly fee of R50. The fee goes to the Registrar inorder to (a) offset the costs associated with running the needed infrastructure around CO.ZA (b) costs involved with unused domains (c) lessens the cybersquatter problem.

Some ISP's state in their advertising free domain registration, but from what is explained above, this is nonsence, domain registration is definitely not free. They recover this cost from the other services they offer. There is no such thing as a free lunch !!!!
