Can you merge lines going from different states into one line, if all three goes to the same state and the label of the lines are the same?

Example:

You have three different states and when a b is read in any one of the states, it goes to a 4th state. Can you merge these 3 lines into one line that goes to the 4th state and only label it once?

I don't think you can unless at some point earlier, they split up from a common node.
