I saw on the social phorum that some of you got marks in the 30's? So how difficult is this subject, or is it just the exam?

Thanks,

smiling smiley i didn't have any problems with the exam...

the basics of it are:
* logical programming - which is very very different from "standard" procedural/OO programming but if you get the hand of it, not too difficult (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logic_programming)
* AI algorithms such depth first/breadth first/best first (including heuristics)
* Problem solving programs such as planners

if you can adapt to new ways of thinking about programming you should have no hassles what so ever.

Wow, 84 is a lot :-!, congrats.

Thanks for the advice. Tell me, is the prescribed book expensive? I saw it for +- R1000 on kalahari.

Cheers,

Thanks! Was surprised myself!

I bought my books from amazon.co.uk last year (it was cheaper than kalahari event with the VAT and delivery charnges added) for £39.89 (its now going for £41.76 about R600).

loot.co.za has it for R864.00.

Is the 2008 prescribed books list out yet?

Just rememebr when you buy from amazon, there is a good chance you will have to pay an extra R100 for VAT and wharf charges.....

very true... and customs clearance takes up to 48 hours!

if i've done my maths right buying this years books (2 of them) from amazon leaves me with about R400 bucks to play with for the warfage/customs clearance charges and VAT...

so all in all it should work out to about the same price.
