Hi All,

Any one get what is to happen here.

Liebmann is a repetitive calculation of the same grid point values basically getting an average of the four surrounding grid points, until tollerance is met.

Any one get the rewriting of the difference equation into iterative formula as asked in that question? (Jan/Feb 2007 Paper Q5 a(ii)).

on 2nd thought after my email reply to you, maybe they just want (^ means superscript, not exponent, and _ means subscript)

u^(k+1) = (u^k_left + u^k_right + u^k_above + u^k_below) / 4

to show how the k+1th values are obtained from the k-th ones.
