I have to incorrect text book revised edition (1990).

If someone would be so kind to post questions 2, 4 and 5
from the correct (1997) text book it would be much appreciated.

Derik, the problems refer to theorems (th 6 part 3 rule 3) that are mentioned earlier on in the chapter. Other problems present diagrams which are difficult to post. Perhaps you should get a copy of the textbook?

thanks for the fast replies.
I'm sure one can break the diagrams down into a syntax like
- 1 -> a -> + 2
1 -> b -> 1
2 -> a -> 2
2 -> b -> + 3

if no one feels like converting diagrams into a crude format
like that is someone willing to scan the diagrams and mail them
to me?
