Textbook?
March 29, 2006 06:12PM
Does anyone know what the textbook is for this module?

I don't know if its my late registration, or if this subject doesn't yet have a "myUnisa" thing setup yet, but any info would be appreciated - if there's a Tut101 available would appreciate it being emailed to me too...

thanks...

aha... gustav was kind enough to forward me:

THE TEXTBOOK

As you know the textbook is

Jurafsky, D. and Martin, J.H. (2000). Speech and Language Processing: An Introduction to Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, and Speech Recognition. Prentice Hall: Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.

This book is not routinely stocked by local academic booksellers, but it may be worth your while to visit to their web sites, just in case. You need to acquire the textbook on your own initiative without any further delay, please.

Yes, does not look like there is stock in SA. I ordered from Kalahari in the end. The price seems better that Amazon to me when one takes shipping into account, and for both it is a bit random when the book will actually arrive, (but about the same time in my experience).
