Hi everybody , yersterday i got tut 102 with a new lecturer and assignments.The assignment 1 was due yersterday and i have submitted the previous one on the 15th. I believe it is going to be very hectic. One can only hope that from the hints in the exam tutorial letter one needs to remember only the conditions for the natural spline,the rest we have to learn, the worst is the least squares polynomial. leaving to no internet area best wishes for the examby

I got pretty close answers(not full marks) due to the differences in the accuracy. The top of page 174 gives the matrix to use for the given conditions, with h[0]=0.02, h[1]=0.03 h[2]=0 check page 172 under condition 2 to find the right hand side of the ends, A and B are the derivatives given in the table, and the middle value will be as for a natural spline. right hand side works out to [by

-at least they are making the effort to mark this assignments, albeit not to our satisfaction. What I find particularly frustrating is 90% of my work not marked with a note that it is impossible for lecturers to mark, so I am referred to a solution guide, and this is in a course that I am really struggling with!!!by

Very interesting viewpoints. I wonder what effect these problems Unisa is having has had on the student turnover? How many struggling students have deregistered this year, and it would be interesting to know the pass rate as compared to other years!!by
