PLS207B first or Second year module
November 15, 2006 01:11AM
Hi I need some help with choosing modules for next year.
In the 2007 Unisa Calendar part 7 PLS207B is a second year module for Bsc Computational Intelligence but it is a first year module for other degrees.
It could be that i am not reading it properly in Acrobat.
I compiled my own degree how does it count now?
Also why does it start with a 2 if it's not a second year module?

If I remember it correctly its a second year philosophy subject(Not from the school of computing hence the PLS prefix), but the school of computing treats it as a first year course towards there degrees that it is in(Not sure about computational intelligence never looked closely at that).

As to how it counts towards your own degree I am unsure, there are a whole set of rules for what you can and can't take if you compile your own degree is PLS207B even allowed?
I would assume if it is allowed it is treated as a first year subject, but its possible it can count as either and you get to choose, Why not contact someone at the school of computing and ask?
