Anyone familiar with the rules for supplementary exams?
What marks does one have to fall between to get a supp exam? (I had flu when I wrote the exam and went in but could hardly review before-hand adn concentrate in the exam)

It depends on the subject, I think its above 45 for most/all COS subjects though...

I've previously qualified for supp's for marks between 45 - 49.

Thanks - it's a COS one. I just do NOT want to do it again next year.
Will have to wait and see what mark I get...

I got supps for INF subjects - think the same rules should count? Same department.
I'll hopefully also have a supp for the terrible COS211 which caught a lot of us by surprise.

Hi Guys

I received a letter from Unisa COLHSU-X/301/4/2006, and if I understand it correctly, stating that everybody qualifies for subs no matter what marks your received in the exam.

that sounds wrong - wasn't that for some other school? cause I think bsc possibly has slightly stricter rules

I got that letter too and I'm registered for a BSc. It didn't specify which students it applied to but since I got the letter I assumed it applied to me as well. They basically explained with all the admin hassles this year they'd made a concession that you'd get a second chance to write the exam in Jan (at your cost) if you failed the Oct/Nov exam.
Guess we'll know for sure on Monday!

The way I read the letter was that it only applied to the School/Faculty/Dept (or something) of Humanities. I looked in the calendar and this is seperate from Science.

Yup - I seem to remember it being the College of Human Sciences as well. That does not include Bsc Science subjects.
BTW When do the results come out if we registered for e-mail notification?
