Ass 2 Q4
March 16, 2011 03:24PM
Is there anyone who knows what's the best way to solve the tic-tac-toe q? I don't think the symmetry thing works as I have about 43 grids right now and no where near the end. Ideas please.

hi yeah,

seem to be stuck with this as well. Im at 27 grids and wondering if Im missing something..

Notice the following state:

O
X O
X

Now one of the states to follow:

If I place

O X
X O
X

is this unique? or is there a symmetrical equivalent somewhere? I cant see it.... To me, symmetrical means to kind of fold it in half..

please ignore my pm msg. i was thinking of ass 1

XO
OX
X

X
XO
OX

I thought symmetry was anyway you can swap the rows and columns. I guess we'll have to pick the lecurer's ear on this one.

ps: I'm currently busy with my CG prg

Hi,

Spoke to the lecturer, she says we only need to draw the first 3 levels of the tree. Not the whole thing which is massive.
