I cannot understand how the latest end date of a event is obtained. I have looked at the diagrams but cannot figure it out. Can anyone help me?

Take the latest date from the event that the acitivity is directed to and subtract the duration of the event and that will be your result. For instance, event B:
The latest date from event 4 is 11 hence the latest date for event 3 will be 11 minus the duration of activity D whichi is 4, the result 7 is depicted in event 3.

I hope this helps.
