how did you configure your aplicaltion inoder for make to work? when i type make at the command window i get this error plaese help : make is not recognized as an internal or external commad.

You must use qmake.

qmake reads the *.pro file and generates the MakeFile for your platform (windows, linux or mac).
You will still need to run make after qmake to build your application.

I am building using QtCreator, which invokes make on my behalf.

To run make, it needs to be on your PATH.

If your installation was done correctly, then there should be a "Qt Command Prompt" available on your main programs menu bar.

This console should be initialised with the correct environment settings (PATH etc.) and you should be able to run make from that command line,
but I find it easier to let QtCreator do it for me.
