trace confusion
May 10, 2006 10:05PM
What's the general consensus on:
"The user should have the option of terminating the process of tracing, and restarting it from the original position"?
"<T> or <t> should start and stop (toggle) tracing of the path"

The first one seems to imply that starting tracing always resets the particle to start at the origin. The second one seems to imply that tracing restarts from the particle's _current_ position.

I'm assuming these both refer to the same option. What's the concensus on desired behaviour?

I made my toggle trace stop the trace where it is and restart it from the same position.

Yes, there instructions are somewhat ambiguous. Either interpretation is acceptable.
