compiler problem: assignment 2 filenames
May 02, 2006 05:22AM
Has anyone else had build problems because of the spaces in filenames that the tut letter specifies?

If so, I guess we all need to pick new names; if not, I guess my path is wrong and I'm picking up the wrong version of gmake.

You are correct gmake.exe gives cyclic dependancy errors with filenames that include spaces - which are actually ignored, and the final file is compiled correcly.
But it is annoying to see those errors everytime.

The filenames in Tut Letter 101 were misprinted. There were meant to be underscore characters between the digits.
