CD received with textbook
January 22, 2009 11:08AM
The CD that I received with the textbook is blank. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a suggestion to help me? I tried contacting Masterskill about this problem but no one there is getting back to me.

The CD contains Oracle 10g database server and nothing else. The other files, you can download from myUnisa or osprey.

So you have a few options:
a) download from Oracle website (700Mcool smiley
b) get a copy from friend/contact/fellow student
c) wait for Masterskill

What area are you located? I'll happily make a copy for you.

Thanks for the help. I finally managed to get hold of Masterskill today (after about 5 attempts) and they say they will courier a new CD to me. Fingers crossed that they do otherwise I'll get back to you. Thanks again!

Hi guys. I've found it easier to just download oracle express edition, 170 MB, anyone know if its necessary to get the standard edition?

@ jneetling

I'm still having issues with Masterskill to get this CD. Where are you located? Perhaps I can get a copy from you if you are in the same area as me.

Also have the problem that the CD is damaged and cannot read from it.

Masterskill are not delivering a new copy of it.

Anyone else who can help with a copy please? (Gauteng)

Copy the CD to your hard drive and then install it from there.

My CD didn't want to install and this was the only way I got it to work.

Good luck grinning smiley

The CD works, Masterskills only forgot to Finalize the CD. If you have disk burning software like Nero or Roxio, You can finalize the disk yourself. The second option is to try to copy the contenst as adviced in the thread (Count Zero)
