Ref: Task 1A-1

Q&A
1. When a user requests a PHP page, what happens at the server level?
a) the server calls on the PHP engine to parse and process the PHP code
b) after finishing the PHP engine returns the parsed results to the server
c) the server sends the HTML code back to the browser untouched

2. What do PHP pages consist of?
a combination of HTML code + PHP script

3. When PHP processes a page, what does it do with HTML and other client-side technologies like JavaScript?
those are returned to the browser it includes HTML, client-side scripting and CSS
So what you see in "View source" is only the HTML code

holla,

In try out using forms to get information from the textbook, in the PHP code section on movie.php, i don't understand what the variable "Authuser" works because i change its value from 0 to any number but still the program runs smoothly with n errors. "Do u have any idea what it is there for?"

1 - the web server calls the PHP server, which parses, compiles, and runs the PHP, presenting the result back to the web server, which in turn presents the result back to the client

2 - a PHP page consists of PHP and (X)HTML code

3 - the PHP is parsed (etc.), the rest is left unchanged, everything is presented back to the client

Finally done ...Lekker
learnt that on a client's req for a PHP Page ,the server invokes the PHP engine
to parse and process the PHP code, returning only HTML code ready for the browser

Aint it over 'til it is
