Anyone doing COS211X ...
October 16, 2008 12:49PM
I've working through the 2007 exam paper and posting my answers. If anyone else is also, please would you give an opinion! lazarus is on leave and I assume he is also studying and has his own problems!

I've also done the review questions but I have last years' assignments and many are from them, so I'm able to check.

It is, but only if you don't know the question.

I did COS211 two years back so not sure if I'd be any help ...

I did it last year, but haven't touched C++ since.

I'm with AndreB, also did it last year and haven't done any C++ since.

I remember being stressed before the exam..

I did it four years ago, but I eat and breathe C++ so if you ask something specific I might be able to help anyway.

i did this subject back in 2000 or 2001. I think they felt sorry for me and gave me a 50 , or I was given that just so they could get rid of me.

Like the others said, ask a specific question, and we'll share our misconceptions with you

My first exam is over and done with! The most difficult one too (I hope). It was very fair, and covered the syllabus nicely but I don't really know how I did. Without a computer to test, I could have got the wrong end of the stick entirely.

I have been a real nuisance with it so I'm hoping that they will happily give me 50% so that I don't return. smile

LOL, and at the rate the rand is falling, that will probably become more around 53 ... at least.

You are right in saying that the COS 211-X paper was fair. I realy did not expect so much drawing.

I'll go for diagrams over hand-writing programs any day! I bought a little stencil set for my mindmaps with all the shapes, and it was very useful. I also bought a scientific calculator which I didn't even need to turn on!
