Well done! You deserved it. Your contributions on the forum and the exam review questions indicated you were working at it steadily.
My mark is not showing yet, keeping fingers crossed.

Congrats to everyone who passed!

Unfortunately I failed miserably, but maybe I just didn't work hard enough during the year. :-(

Any hints or suggestions? (Maybe a 'how to study for COS211'?)

CarinaO

I'd say the top requirement is to get the textbook early.
Practice creating the data structures and algorithms.
Well before the exam, practice coding, sorting and searching on paper.
Maximize on the year mark by submitting high quality assignments.
That assists in assimilation.
If exam performance is marginal the year mark helps.

I did not have a textbook myself and worked too hard for a simple pass.

Thanks for all the advice!

I'll definitely practice more next year!

Commiserations CarinaO - i'm another of the fallen.

I have a bit of a mental block with C++ (it will probably be my last subject), but my take on it is to make sure you can produce the basic code structures (templates, functions, implementations, etc) in your sleep (and on paper), then understand about the logic and algorithms that need to go into the containers. Big-Oh and Complexities are the icing on the cake for your distinction.

Not something you can cram in a week like I tried to.

What is a pass?

I got a dissapointing 40%. Which in retropect isnt bad, cause I thought I'd never write the exam and only started work when I got my exam timetable(Maybe 3 weeks amongst the others).
Year mark was non existant as well.

Sorry BushMaster, I can relate to that, i also failed 1 module with a 46%. So I suppose its a supp if i`m right. I didnt want a supp, because no rest till January, while revising, because i cant afford to fall twice.

Anyway if i`m right one gets a supp if they fail with a 40% - 49% mark.

I passed this time with a 56. So happy.
I would like to know if the provisional results also includes the year mark.

I also got a miserable 40%, and so bummed cos I thought I had this one in the bag. And it is a prereq for quite a few subjects (my last few) so have to pass the supp...no rest for the wicked!
