Completed this task and got the expected error message. I then tried to set-up the mail server in my php.ini file just to see if it would send the email but alas I still got the error message! Not sure what the second part (in bold) of the error message is referring to though?
Warning: mail() [function.mail]: "sendmail_from" not set in php.ini or custom "From:" header missing in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\thankyou.php on line 68Failed to send the email.

Check the 4c thread in 2007 sem 1.... no use repeating There is a wealth of information in previous forums, and we consider that to be part of the course material. It is difficult to answer questions like these since it may be based on your XAMPP configuration, so previous forums provides for plenty scenarios....
What is important here is mail($mail_to, $mail_subject, $mail_body);
You use that on a live server that is connected to the Internet then your mail will go through. Do get it working on XAMPP requires skills that is not part of this course (it is part of a Linux Administrator course)
Done. I did not have any errors in this topic. The only problems i have come across with php mail() is that many mail servers do not trust it where it comes to SPAM etc. This is an issue i think should be seen to.
