EzWindows
February 08, 2006 08:40PM
Hi Im struggling to get this sorted. I have uninstalled & reinstalled my compiler & DEVC++ IDE. I have unzipped the Ezwin archive to c:\unisa. It created a DIR with the name 'examples' undre which you can find 'ezwin' which in turn contains the 'include', 'src' and 'lib' directories.

When I try to

include 'ezwin.h'

i get the following

Linker error: Undefined reference to 'WinMain@16'.

I have tried add the location of the ezwin files in the Compiler options, but it made no difference.

any ideas?

Hi There,

I am not sure if the problem is the same, but I found some files automatically in

Tools-->Compiler options-->Directories-->Libraries.

After I followed the directions on the install disk sent by Unisa, and replaced the entries the program worked.

Also when you create a program are you using
File-->New-->Project-->Multimedia-->EZWin Application?

All the best,
Glynn

Dear Students

To solve the "UNDEFINED `Fdollar-monstartup`" error, first try the following:
On the Project menu, choose Project options, then on the Compiler tab, click on Code profiling and turn "Generate profiling info for analysis" off by clicking on the down arrow on the right and choosing "No".

This option is also available under the general compiler settings (Tools, Compiler Options, Settings), so you may have to turn it off there also.

If this does not solve your problem, do the following:

Uninstall MinGW and DevC++, search for the devcpp.ini file(s) under the hidden files, delete that and re-install MinGW and DevC++. This makes DevC++ set itelf to its original state where it asks for languages, themes, etc and also restores the basic templates. When MinGW and DevC++ is re-installed afterwards, it works correctly. Note that you will now have to set up the paths for the Compiler options under the Tools menu again.
